The Château de Guédelon is a unique attraction that you must not miss ! Right in the heart of the district Puisaye in the department Yonne, fifty craftsmen (stonemasons, bricklayers, wood cutters, carpenters etc.) took up the challenge of building a castle, in the 20th/21th, using medieval techniques. They started in 1997, bringing loads of building materials to the site and their aim was to finish some 10 years later. A visit to the Château de Guédelon is fascinating and a thrill for young and old.
